I found some forums about age of empires some time ago, and whilst exploring these ancient records, feeling like an internetr archeaologist, I stumbled upon their roleplay system.
They seemed to have had some sucess, as they managed to finish a roleplay with some people rising to be emporer, and dying fighting the barbarians.
Anyway, i beleive we should emulate this by having a more free flowing roleplay, where one can rise from a common start position, with some low leve skills and equipment, to glory, through quests, politics, and other stuff.
eg. One starts in a city, and can join the army, becom a trader, or go banditing/adventuring in the wilderness. They can find artifacts, or save the world from variposu foes as decided by the management.
I think we could have characters leading battles or something using age of empires or other games.
Sorry the idea isn't fully formed, but I think it shows promise. -
Are games still occuring?
06 June 2010 - 02:24 PM
Are people still playing online, and not talking about it? I haven't been around for some time, with 'work', and what's going on?
sorry for confused garbledness of that. -

I notice nothing official and multiplayer has happened in ages, I therefore propose a session soon.

Spontaneous Lan game
31 March 2010 - 09:00 PM
Hello chaps, I was thinking of having an informal LAN game during the week, about 7o'clock ish.
THis is to show that games can be organised without Rob, so that he can be in the clan, but not have to worry about running it so much
who would do it?
it seems that I have been nominated to do this for next Friday,or
FRIDAY THE NINTH OF APRIL
at 7:30 GMT, that is 8:30 in Britain, and 12:30 in America.
The game shall be decided by vote, choices in the poll. winner at 00:00 on Friday morning wins, in event of a tie, we play both. -
Session 28th Febuary
26 February 2010 - 05:10 PM
Due to lack of any information about this being going on, I decided to make a topic to discuss it, in the hope that answers spontaneously appear.
so, two big questions:
1) Is it actually occuring?
2) If so, what game?
I recommend AoE 1 as first choice, because we haven't played it yet, and everyone's probably got it. Second choice if someone can't stand charriots is SWGB, but I'm not sure if that can be found to work in time. If neither of those are ok, I guess its back to warcraft 3.
