Seems like the 5-person rooms are 2 double-beds and a sofa-bed.

Indeed. Is this insufficient?

Additionally, hotels will be made cheaper by my prescence due to my American Automotive Association (AAA) membership whereby hotels give me discounts for being a member. If the rooms were booked in my name (which I imagine would be best because then I could pay dollars for the rooms and the only place where'd I not need a room would be Elk Grove) we'd get the AAA discount.

Just an idea.

I have no problem stopping at someone's house but I don't want to be imposing, if people are happy to take us this will reduce the cost of the tour but it will all have to be agreed upon between us before the deposits for the flight are taken.
