Alright.

Lancaster and Derby have stupidly decided to have all of their term dates at totally different times to everyone else. It therefore unfortunately seems that there is ZERO time when all of us will be on holiday at the same time. Easter is definitely out of the question anyway (even if Basin didn't come) because none of the universities I am interested in have holidays that are going to match up with Staffordshire or Neumont for a long enough period of time.

If the summer is chosen then Basin and Jesan have clashing holiday dates, since Lancaster are gits and have their last day of term in the first week of JULY versus everyone else's END OF MAY, and Neumont have their holiday in JUNE. It would also cost almost £2000 each to go in the summer which is twice the price. Ridiculous.

I am not sure where to progress here. When we go is basically irrelevant because no matter how hard we try, Neumont and Lancaster have ridiculous term dates that don't match anyone elses.

I suggest you all fake a horrific car accident and fake your own death (allowing you to come here as illegal immigrants or whatever for a while, no need for passports) then later when you return make it look like you came back from the dead, garnering huge media coverage and fame ect ect allowing you to pay for the trip that you just took. This way you can arrange a visit, pay for it, and become famous ALL AT ONE TIME!

All universities are giving Easter holidays, they are merely at different times and don't match up.
It also doesn't look like Neumont have a proper "summer holiday" of any sort that matches up with ours, because they have four terms.

However each term has 2 weeks off plus 2 more for christmas and 2 more for easter or I get 12 weeks off during the year or 3 months. So I only go to school for one extra month.

We will probably have to go in the summer of 2011, but I will attempt to cut flight costs by going with the most economic flight possible. I reckon I can get the flight down to £800-£850 on a reputable airline for a 10-day holiday in the last two weeks of July if I am clever enough, and we can then probably price the tour at no more than about £1350 which isn't much above the previous estimate of £1100.

It will still be expensive no matter what.

Only Jesan will be at university during this time; Medessec and Frogg should still be at high school and the end of July SHOULD be their holiday. So it will be convenient for most people.

Summer sounds good anyway, for it will be the proper time to experience the extremely hot California weather. :)

Although many sightseers will crowd the common sightseeing spots, especially the amusement parks.

Hmmm.... how many room were you figuring? The hotel here in Elk Grove says that you can have a room that fits five people for 74.8493078 British pounds a night according to Google. Plus some taxes (of which I'm clueless). Divide that by five and its 15 British pounds per person per night. Maybe 20 pounds tops. Of course, there are always nicer rooms although this one isn't the bottom of the line either.
