Well, Crimson is all about pushing GM to it's limits, and it has apparently!

I think that any sprites of bulk that aren't going to all be used simultaneously (such as Pokémon sprites) can be stored externally and simply loaded into memory when needed. When they are no longer needed they can be removed from memory.
I know this is a fiddly way of doing things and will allow the user to more easily edit the game, but I don't see as I have a lot of choice in the matter.

A note for anyone interested:
Nintendo have recently revealed the first details about Generation V of Pokémon. We are not going to guarantee support for the Generation V region, its Pokémon, or music tracks within Crimson, but it will probably be added later into the development of the title. The same applies with Pokémon Ranger: Tracks of Light - we do not currently plan to implement content from this title into the game, but it may be added at a later date.
The canon of the game is currently being based on the information readily available to us as of the EU release of HG/SS, and we cannot guarantee that Generation V won't conflict with ideas introduced in Crimson.
We do, of course, find Generation V to be of CONSIDERABLE importance within the Pokémon world, and will PROBABLY do our best to implement as much as possible from this generation into a future game patch, but we do not GUARANTEE it yet.

As for the spriting issue, yeah people will be able to mess with the game a bit, but I think it's the best option to get the game to work, and if it doesn't greatly affect game speed, or improves it, I think it's a good option.

Why would someone want to mess with the sprites anyways?????????? Useless.

But yeah it ruins the game anyway. Plus it'll probably end up in the RJD license("no modding any of the game's resources") or something like that.

Guess not.
Oh well. Crimson's best when it's set up the way it's supposed to be.

Which means progress on Crimson will progress as it did before!
I'm also liking the new blog. Showing screenshots will definitely show everyone this game's potential. Plus, it's just type in a domain: www.pokemoncrimson.co.uk, and you're there.
Also likin' the favicon.
