TGB in 2010: Where do we go from here?

I was thinking today about where we should take TGB and its related services this year. Some suggestions I have, in no particular order:
- Sort out a new forum list. What forums need to be on the site?
- Archive old posts that we don't need any more
- Finish migration of MForums to TGB and sort out Medessec.com
- Sort out RJD UK website
- Sort out LKP and what is happening with it
- Finish Alpha 6 of Crimson (if possible)
- Create more comprehensive pages with information about the various projects we have
- Advertise the site and increase the size of our user base
- Streamline the registration process - a clear indication is needed on the top of the page stating progress towards Standard account (this can be done using a hook)
- Create some sort of help guide for newbies
- Post more

Help scientists to understand protein folding, misfolding, and related diseases.

I really hope it can happen. There's ways around every obstacle, let's just hope the way around this one isn't too hard.

I think they all should have their own subdomain, like: crimson.thegineverblock.com, travelcade.medessec.com, and so on.

Obviously, any previous acts or methods that we've been using haven't worked, so I think we need something else.
Although the Medessec Travelcade is a Medessec Productions Project, I think I will make it publicly available for download using TGB's download system(so it can count downloads and views) so anyone who wants to download it will catch a view of TGB. Plus, I also plan to post guides and tutorials on TGB as well, and have web links on the CDs I give to friends who want to try out the game.

Excellent!

Indeed, I think these go somewhat hand in hand. I personally am of the opinion that we need whatever forums seem to be demanded by our members. In other words.. close the ones we are not using. Like Creative Challenges since no one participates (partially due to my lack of nagging methinks)

Indeed. I think it is rather silly of Medessec to have his own forum. I agree with him that he needs his own site, but I don't think he really needs a forum.

I have nothing to do with this !! =o

Which as I understand is not possible?

Indeed, these two things are more or less the same. Well, promoting our projects SHOULD increase registrations.

And these three things we can take care of with a little work!
Oh, and will TRY to be on more and especially on msn and Hamachi as I have not been using MY computer for AGES.

I'll run through rob's list real quick:
- Sort out a new forum list. What forums need to be on the site?
Check, I think
- Archive old posts that we don't need any more
Not Check, quite. We should take care of this soon.
- Finish migration of MForums to TGB and sort out Medessec.com
Check.
- Sort out RJD UK website
Not Check.
- Sort out LKP and what is happening with it
Not check
- Finish Alpha 6 of Crimson (if possible)
Not Check(But hopefully check sooner or later
- Create more comprehensive pages with information about the various projects we have
WIP, but not check yet
I'm hoping the Ginever Wiki will help, but it's more of a library and people would need to know what they're looking for. I have my deal of project pages to work on with my website...
- Advertise the site and increase the size of our user base
Naye on this, although the Clan has brought together a few inactive members...?
- Streamline the registration process
Naye.
- a clear indication is needed on the top of the page stating progress towards Standard account (this can be done using a hook)
Naye.
- Create some sort of help guide for newbies
We could do this with a topic... perhaps we could collaborate on this? I dunno.
- Post more
Check I guess, but we gotta keep it up!

Well, is that TGB TV thing still in the works? I was planning to use that to post the Original Gamesters series and have a link on the Original Gamesters region of the site to the media.thegineverblock.com. If this is possible.
Otherwise I'd have to use YouTube, and the school blocks it...

What about rjdonline.co.uk? I saw it's also redirecting to the "Coming Soon To a Ginever Block Near You" thing...
