Admin arrangements during American Tour 2010

As many of you will be aware, I will be leaving in the very early hours of Tuesday 9th Feb 2010 for a tour of New York and Boston with the S. Peter's Collegiate School Concert Band.

More information on this tour, as well as up to date progress of what the band is doing, can be found at:
http://www.speters.org.uk/cbblog/index.html

Paul will officially have 'ownership' of the site during my absence but it is unlikely that he will be online to deal with any problems, so Titch, Jesan and Medessec are left in control of looking after the site and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

With luck I shall be returning on Thursday 18th Feb.

I expect to see lots of posts when I return!!!

Unscheduled downtime: Change of IP for NS1

Hello,

Some unavoidable changes have been made to the nameserver NS1.THEGINEVERBLOCK.COM. As such, it has been issued with a new IP address. All services have now been updated to use the new IP, but may take up to 72 hours to take effect, so there may be some unscheduled downtime.

The following domain names will be affected:
thegineverblock.com
rjdonline.co.uk
pokemoncrimson.co.uk
legendkillerproductions.net
ginever.net
hotfez.co.uk
medessec.com

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Upgrade to IPB 3.0.5

Today I have upgraded the board to IPB 3.0.5.

There was a minor error with the upgrade script which has apparently resulted in some text disappearing from key areas of the site (such as the admin CP login form), however, the damage may be more serious so I will continue to investigate the problem.

In the meantime, you should report any issues you find to me ASAP.

Christmas Skin

Hello!

As we are now approaching Christmas, I have decided to install a Christmas Skin. This year's Christmas skin is called Frosty, and was created by Dragonfly (skinbydragonfly.com), who also made the Salient skin. The skin will be the new default until the Christmas holiday season is over.

There may be bugs with this skin, since it has had very little testing, so please report any that you find ASAP.

Finally, I have now officially finalised the Medessec skin since there are no real bugs with it that I know of.
